Cheap Videos Case Study : Bordeauxxx

A short while ago we published an article about how to get gigs. One of the points I made was how it really helps if you have a decent video. It doesn’t have to be pro standard, but good enough so that a promoter or a fan feels comfortable showing it to strangers. However, I felt it was a bit too easy for me to just tell you to go and get yourself a video. So I thought we’d look at a video that was totally amateur, shot in one day and required very little investment.

I feel a bit mean calling this video cheap. It didn’t cost a lot, but cheap has negative connotations so I’ll call it “cost effective.” The video is for Bordeauxxx‘s track ‘Heartstrings’. It’s racked up over 6,000 views, which isn’t earth shattering but it’s a decent return for an afternoon’s work. Anyway, here’s the video. Read more
